Full Size Stock Class 1960 – 2002

Any American made car 2 or 4 door hardtop cars or station wagons. No 4WD, Jeeps, Carryalls, Camaros, Firebirds, or El Caminos allowed. No Imperials or 03 and newer Crown Vics, Marquis, or suicide Lincoln.

Stripping: all glass, plastic, fiberglass, and chrome moldings MUST be removed prior to arrival at facility. Station wagon rear floor door must be removed. Remove all broken glass from inside doors. No flammable materials such as carpets, upholstery, or headliners can be left in car. Cars MUST be clean and free of loose objects inside and in the trunk areas. Both rear seat and insulation blanket under the hood must be removed. Dash boards may be removed.

BODY: NO welding of any sort will be allowed. Wheel wells maybe cut up to 3” maximum to allow for tire clearance but with 5, 3/8” bolts and washers per wheel well will be allowed. Front lower fender may be trimmed or folded to allow tire clearance but NO welding or Bolting will be allowed. Body bolts and mounts may be removed and broken bolts maybe replaced with stock size bolts, 2”x2” plates may be used. Additional body mounts may NOT be added anywhere.

HOOD: Hood MUST have 10”-12” hole on either side of air cleaner if the exhaust is not run through the hood. Hood may be secured in 6 spots by chain, cable, 1” threaded rod or #9 wire only, no more than 3 loops. Only 2 points can connect to the frame. Hood hinges count as 2 connections. You may run chain around the front core support or around your bumper. Chain not to exceed 48” in length and no more than 2 loops to secure your hood and only after your car passes inspection. Holes in hood bracing may be bolted together using NO more than 25, 3/8” bolts and washers per hood!

Trunk & Tailgate: Trunk must be empty and free of dirt and debris. Trunk must be secured with chain. Trunk maybe secured in 6 spots with chain, cable, 1” threaded rod or #9 wire only; with no more than 3 loops. Trunk hinges count as 2 spots. Chains are not to exceed 48” in length, and cannot wrap around more than 2 loops. Only 2 points may attach to frame.

Doors: All doors can be welded 5 on 5 off or use 2 chains, cable or #9 wire on all doors. Driver’s door maybe welded shut. Door chains cannot go around frame. You may install an interior or exterior driver and passenger door bar, but not both, and it may only exceed 4” past door seem, 6” wide and only up to 3/8” thick, for safety purpose only.

Windows: 2 vertical steel bars or chains MUST be run from roof to the body (not hood) in front of the driver. NO #9 wire in any Windows. Rear window bars are permitted. Speaker decks must remain in place.

Bumpers: Any auto bumper (no truck bumpers) may be used. Can be seam welded chrome to backing. No added metal. Bumpers may be replaced with a 4” x 4” x 1/4” square tube with open ends. Bumpers may be welded to bracket, and bracket to frame, or hard-nosed. No added metal. Impact shocks maybe welded. No adding any steel. Maximum bumper height is 22 inches from ground to bottom of bumper, minimum bumper height is 15 inches. You may use a short piece of chain to retain the bumper it can be welded; one link to the bumper and one link to the frame, but not on a seam, and it cannot wrap around the bumper.

Interior: With exceptions of floor shifters, all large holes in floor pan must be patch with sheet metal. Holes in firewalls will be permitted for distributor clearances. Any holes cut in the firewalls must be protected with nonflammable type material. Driver seat in DOT approved seatbelts or aftermarket racing harness must be securely mounted. You may run an aftermarket seat.

Chassis: Frame May not be strengthened in anyway (no filling of frame with any type of materials and or no frame seem welding will be permitted). You may not weld any plates to the front or rear of the frame in this class. Horizontal bar maybe put behind driver’s seat and must remain it 18 inches above floor boards. A 4 x 4 bar is also allowed to cross the dash. It must be securely welded, bolted, chain or wired to inside of the car to the door or door posts only, and not have plates bigger than 6” x 6” on ends. Dash and seat may be connected to the door bars creating a Floating 4 point cage. You may use an aftermarket steering column. You may also have a vertical roll bar connecting only to your floating cage bolted or welded together and attached to the roof by 2 bolts. No sandblasting, undercoating, or painting of the frame will be allowed. Trailer hitches and brackets must be removed. No tilting or cold bending.

Rear End & Suspension: Shocks and suspensions must not be altered in anyway. . Bumper maximum is 22 inches from ground to bumper, minimum of 15 inches. You may weld your rear end gears. You may swap rear ends (Chevy Ford etc.) must be direct bolt in. No altering control arms. No braced rear ends. Slider driveshafts and gears will be allowed; rear springs may be wired or clamped to spring perch.

Engine and Transmission: you may swap motors and transmissions in this class. No engine cradles, skid plates, pulley protectors or distributor protectors will be allowed! No alcohol burning engine. You may weld your motor mounts, or chain motors but must be 5 inches of original place. Carburetors must have air cleaner. No ether. Hand throttles are permitted. Transmission coolers are allowed. Transmission cooler must be no larger than 24” x 24” x 18” or you may loop off your lines. Headers are allowed but must remain vertical.

Electrical: Two (2) 12 V or heavy equipment batteries are permitted. Batteries must be located inside of your car on passenger’s floor, it must be securely mounted with a four point hold down at each and both must be covered. Battery in boxes must be secured. Push button or toggle ignition and power hot wiring is both acceptable. Solenoid, voltage regulators, coils, and other electrical components may be relocated. Components may be in close but not in such a way to strengthen the car. All fuses must be removed except for the gauges charging the ignition system and electric radiator fan.

Radiator: Must be a stock radiator or aluminum (race style) radiator, NO radi-barrels or protectors will be permitted. You MUST drain anti-freeze out and run with water ONLY!

Fan: If you run a radiator fan you must run with a Hood.

Gas tank: Steel boat tank or fuel-cell will be allowed, 6 gallon max capacity. You must remove factory gas tank from his original position. Gas tanks must be placed in the rear seat area behind the driver or may be placed on your rear seat bar in the center on a bracket and must be securely fastened and all connections must be secured and leakproof. All fuel lines must run through the inside of the car. Tanks must be completely covered. You may not use plastic or Jerry cans. Rubber fuel lines are highly recommended. If running electric fuel pump you must have a shut off switch within drivers reach and clearly marked for fire officials. Gas spillage will result in disqualification. Gas tank protectors allowed. Must be 6 in. from rear sheet metal

Brakes: Must be functional in the start of every heat or feature.

Tires and Rims: Any tire skidsteer, forklift, doubled or tubed valve stem protectors and multi-hole weld in centers OK. No bead locks or rim protectors

A-arms can be chained, bolted or welded to increase height only 1”, ¼” thick no longer than 8” per A-arm may be welded only to the front side of the a-arm to the frame no bending or wrapping. Tie rods and ends must be stock or stock replacement. You may run aftermarket steering column.
